Epik High's 행복합니다 (I'm Happy)

Just wanted to write this down somewhere I'd be able to go back and find.  I remember saving it on a word document long ago, but I've lost it since then.

Have I ever said how much I admire Epik High? For those who haven't heard of them, they're a Korean hip-hop band who've been around for a while.  They are definitely worth checking out.

This song, 행복합니다 (I'm Happy), is a dark one. The rap bits are really, just a chant, and set the mood for the haunting vocals of Nell's Jong Wan.

I came across this many years ago on a now long lost Soompi thread, the reason this is probably one of my favourite songs by Epik High. One part of the song really stands out:

Then at around 2:47 the two voices speak together and you'll see the way the lyric overlap to make some disturbing sentence like so (Tablo's italicized):오늘부터 긴 한숨을 끊어야지(Should cut my breath off today) 차가운 물로 목을 배워야지(Should cut my throat with the cold water)이 어린아이의 손목을 그어야지(Should cut this child's wrist) 설마 제가 당신을 죽여 버릴까요(Could I possibly kill you?)

Amazing huh? There isn't much more to say about the song, just that Epik High did a really good job with it.  Well anyways, back to studying. ^^"
